Sink provided in the room, hot drinks were replenished daily and there was a nice pub close by.
Dislikes:
The fluctuating internet access, and I think the milk provided for the coffee in the room was off

Lindsay Guest House is a listed red sandstone Victorian building of great character, and has been sympathetically and tastefully decorated throughout preserving many original features of the house. It maintains a high standard of cleanliness and delights guests with attention to detail and finishing touches.
The Lindsay Guest House has seven letting rooms providing an excellent balance of accommodation for singles, couples and small or large groups. All rooms are individually decorated and furnished to a high standard providing comfortable and relaxing surroundings for you during your stay.
Located in the highly desirable and quiet residential area of Merchiston, and with the added attraction of the Union Canal at the rear, two buses directly outside take 10-15 minutes into the town Centre and all the major attractions Edinburgh has to offer. Alternatively you could take a leisurely walk along the Canal into town - approximately 20-30 minutes.
A huge bonus is private parking to the front of the house, making this an ideal location for anyone traveling by car
The Craiglockhart Sports Centre and both Myreside and Meggetland playing fields are within walking distance as are the Napier University Campuses at Merchiston, Craiglockhart and Craighouse. Lindsay Guest House is convenient for those needing to attend George Watson's College, Merchiston Castle School and the Corn Exchange. It is also well placed for buses to Herriot Watt University's Riccarton Campus.
For those wishing to attend Rugby Internationals, Murrayfield stadium is only a crowd's roar away.
Edinburgh has numerous quality golf courses both within the city itself and in the surrounding areas.
Nearby Bruntsfield and Morningside offer excellent shopping with many specialist shops and boutiques. There are a number of local restaurants in Bruntsfield and Morningside and Edinburgh has an amazing wealth of restaurants catering for all tastes.
